Century Lane Bridge was built in 1853. This historic bridge connects the villages of Mechanicsville and Elizabethtown. Bucks and Philadelphia Counties jointly own the bridge. But, the County of Philadelphia agreed to rehabilitate the bridge without affecting its appearance. In 2004, MPG was commissioned by the general contractor to complete this restoration project. The scope of work included: The removal and replacement of structurally unsound stone as well as the cleaning and repair of the arches and the parapet walls. |
