Smithville Mansion is a complex of 19th Century brick
buildings that is listed on the state and National Register
of Historic Places. MPG teamed with the architectural
firm of Ford Farewell Mills and Gatsch to return the
Smithville campus to its original appearance so that
it could better serve Burlington County as a venue for
public events.
MPG’s work included: Structural rebuilding, brick
replacement and repointing, as well as General Contracting
duties that included: glazing, painting, ornamental metal
work, stucco restoration, roofing, wood window restoration
and carpentry.
This project won the 1998 International
Masonry Institute Award for Best Restoration Project. |
