Logan Hall at University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, PA

Logan Hall
Logan Hall is a Victorian Gothic building designed in 1874 by Thomas Webb Richards. Logan Hall is situated on the historic “Green” of the original University of Pennsylvania campus. MPG executed the complete exterior restoration of Logan Hall as it was designed by Keast & Hood Engineers and Marianna Thomas Architects.

The restoration included: Complete building rehabilitation, rebuilding serpentine, sandstone and schist walls in natural and replicate cast stone, rebuilding structural brickwork, repointing, stone and concrete patching, masonry cleaning lintel replacement and coordination of other trades. The completed project won the following awards: The 1996 International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Award for Best Project — Restoration/Rehabilitation/Maintenance, The Philadelphia Preservation Coalition Award and the Pennsylvania Museum Commission Award.
