Masonry Preservation Group, Inc. was commissioned by
Princeton University to clean the prestigious Woodrow
Wilson statue, located in front of Palmer Hall in the
center of the university campus. The statue’s marble
surface was covered with a heavy black crust that was
a result of many years of environmental contamination.
Recognizing the historic significance of the piece of
art, MPG exercised conservator-like care in removing the
contamination from the marble surface. The primary method
of cleaning utilized the JOS System in the hands of skilled
craftsmen. |
