The St. James is the tallest residential tower in Philadelphia. It is a 45 story, cast-in-place, reinforced concrete luxury apartment building located at 8th and Walnut Streets. The Purpose of the project was to mitigate drainage and water infiltration problems and render the balcony slabs between the 10th and 43rd floors, watertight. MPG’s scope of work included: Remove and dispose of existing cementitious topping to a depth of ¼ inch. Grinding selective balconies to re-profile deck surfaces, install cementitious underlayment, fill cracks, seal and caulk existing joints, install a traffic-bearing membrane. |
