The Broad Street Bus Garage is located at 2600 North Broad Street in Philadelphia. The garage was built in the late 1950’s as a repair and cleaning facility for vehicles of the United Parcel Service. Building ownership was transferred to the Philadelphia School district in the 1960’s. Years of weather exposure and heavy loads had caused significant deterioration on the surface and undersides of the concrete deck. MPG’s award winning project attacked these issues with the following scope of work: Hydrodemolition, deck coatings, concrete crack repair, shotcrete, carbon fiber reinforcing and concrete floor overlay.
